What a great meeting we had yesterday!  What a nice way to start the day….Thanks to our October Hostess, Suzy Lehmann and her helpers for the delicious treats.

Our first “Wake Up and Learn” of the Season was a big success.  Our 2013-2014 Yearbook was well received by the members attending.  The Design and Horticulture segment was “educational”.  Thanks to Lorna O’Hara and David Southall for sharing their knowledge.  Our Flower Show Chairman, Mary Lou Magliocca shared tidbits about upcoming Flower Show – “Destination….Paradise”.  As for our Program, a big Thank You to Dolly Tomalinas for her informative presentation.  “She really loves her Roses!”

Special thanks as always to our GCGC Photographer, Anina Bachrach for her photos.  A great idea Anina, adding captions and snapping a photo of our newest GCGC member, Michelle Schoenfeld.  Welcome Michelle!!!!

Another Special thanks to Ben Bachrach for all his hard work developing our new GCGC Website.  Ben announced the Website via a power point presentation helping members to become familiar with the home page and what info can be found on this new site.

One more Thank You! for Lorna O’Hara and the members of her Set Up/Breakdown Committee. Setting up the room for the meeting and ensuring everything is put back in its place before we leave (moving chairs, tables, etc.) is a big job.  Anyone wanting to volunteer to lend a hand, please contact Lorna.  Afterall, this Committee will surely need a break once-in-awhile!!

Those of you out-of-town, you better get back quick to join in all the excitement.  Looking forward to seeing more of our members at our November 11th meeting!
