National Garden Clubs new website

National Garden Clubs is happy to announce a redesign of our informative web site.  After spending many months in development, the site is now live and available to all garden club members.

The New NGC site has a quick reference page to all the information located on the site http://gardenclub.org/about-us/site-map.aspx this should make navigation much easier for those who do not use the site frequently.

Remember the member sign in is member and the password is world.  The National Gardener is now available to garden club members on the member only side.  Please pass on this information to your clubs.

Please inform you webmasters that many of the old links to awards, scholarships, handbook changes, Flower show Stimulus Project and other NGC links on your state site must be re linked to the new NGC locations.  Have your webmaster check your web site for broken links.

Celebrate the Life of Our Friend, Betty Mazzarella

The Gulf Coast Garden Club is scheduled to host the Berne Davis Gardens on Tuesday, March 11th from 10 am to 1 pm. The Council has requested each club/society to host one Tuesday during the season when the gardens are open to the public.

GCGC will be celebrating the life of Betty Mazzarella, one of the founders of the Gulf Coast Garden Club, with a special ceremony in the Gardens at 11:00 a.m. Betty’s husband, Joe, and their son will join us.

It would be so very special if we all could turn out for this special event. Please mark your calendars and ‘save the date’. We will be sending out more detailed information regarding the ceremony as the date draws closer.

Photos-Judges Council Flower Show

WHAT A TERRIFIC SHOW!!! The Judges Council Flower Show was held on January 23rd at Kathleen Hawryluk’s home.

Special Thanks to Lynn Bird for sharing her beautiful photos. See Link below.

“East Meets West” was a major success. Absolutely gorgeous, creative Designs. Phenomenal Horticulture. The placement of all was perfect!! Floating in the pool and bathtub – what a spectacular idea. The signage with fans – so classy. Looks like everyone enjoyed socializing and partaking in the delicious fare!!

I am so jealous that I missed the Show, getting together with everyone and the beautiful weather!!!!

Wonderful job Kathleen, Janice, et al.

Your “jealous” Snow Angel,
Mary Lou
